    This is the first home game I’ve missed where I have been able to get that I can remember, going back at least 30 odd years. Any of the other cups over the years I’ve attended no matter what round or opponent m, including the, what was it zenith data systems cup? But I have not gone tonight due to the format of this competition allowing prem reserve sides in.

    Indeed so. The reason they keep getting away with treating fans with contempt is because we keep letting them. I was hoping for an attandance that was scarcely more than the number that turn up to watch training.

    I was hoping that the club would make their stance clear and not market or advertise the game at all. Not include it in any factor for ticket allocations, try to dissuade fans from attending and essentially hold the game behind closed doors. We would have earned far more in positive media coverage than a few measly ticket sales

    EFL need to look good and hard at this competition though and sack it off in this format

    Yes & if we make wembley again , this sham will probably have the support of between 15 & 20 thousand Barnsley fans there . I do not like the competition & you do not, but total respect to those who do , its their choice .

    Never criticised the fans who have gone. The club shouldn't imo have advertised it at all. In fact I'd have charged £50 entry

    Do you not understand that they have contractual obligations as full members of the football league , you do not have the option of opting out & why would you want to rip off genuine Barnsley fans ?
