Ok then. It wasn't his job to sign Morsy up.

This is the only way forward for us. Wasn`t it always thus?
Battling Barnsley and all that. The odds say that we will lose some more stars either now or at the end of the season but I don`t want the Club to commit more than we can afford for unsustainable short term gain. I`ll keep the Faith!

Yes but what did you want him to do? He tells Morsy what club can afford. Morsy asks for more. Linton says of course Sam we can pay you that it's not my money so doesn't matter to me? He's not going to do that.

I think this begs the queation of our transfer policy

    like have we got one?
Cant decide if we are extremely naive , slow or have no confidence in our choice of players. As others have said, Morsy might have been offered more money now but we had him when he was surplus to needs and wanting to join us!
Same as when key players are leaving, you would have thought that we w3ould have primne targets lined up and bids going in immediately.

I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and think maybe he stayed there out of loyalty, but it would be very naive of me.

He's gone for the bigger wage.

Why else would you stay with the 2nd bottom club when you could be at a club thats higher up the league and plays in front of more fans home and away?

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to come back if they get relegated.

Nothing to do with Linton Brown. If the board have a wage structure it doesn't matter how good the chief exec is.

He's on more money there than we could offer.

From what I've read it sounds like our trump card was a longer contract than his existing Wigan one even though it was a bit less a week.

Wigan's then matched that contract length on the same wage & he's signed it.

Why is everyone all of a sudden slagging our sale/recruitment process off when prior til the last 5 days it's been the sole reason we are where we are?!?

It's been one working day since Winnall left. We won't have known Morsy wasn't coming for certain until after everyone went home for the evening today. I see absolutely no evidence that bids haven't gone in immediately - what's yours?

The worrying thing is. It has been communicated that we were prepared for every eventually (or to that effect)

No CEO. Morsey '**** up'. Plus whatever unravels in the coming days.

    Are we really prepared.

I don't want to really think about it if not as this is keiths season repeating itself.

    Worried. Aye

    I am

one working day? somebody will have known for ages that Winnall was off. We could have had somebody in training by now its not as if we were waiting for a big transfer payment to fund it.
I was just pointing out what I see as mistakes that have been made, you obviously don't agree
