O'Neil Thompson, looked world class in the friendly with man city, dog after that (although he didn't get much chance).

Now I know you no nowt about football, Wardy was the best and hardest working striker in the division. If it's that easy, why isn't most of the team there to just toe poke it over the line. Goals are goals, whether 30 yard belters or toe pokes. I wish we had someone like him signing this week.
Only my opinion, don't take it personal

Thought Colace had two quality seasons. Very clever player, always seemed to be in the right position and added goals to his game when Doyle was brought in alongside him & he was given more freedom to get forward.

**** end to his Oakwell career which means he's not looked back on fondly which is his own doing as he simply stopped trying. Clearly regrets it as he often tweets about how much he misses the club

Seems like the most overrated biscuit thread carries more realistic responses

Didn't expect people to agree! For clarity, the question was who did I think was "most overrated" not who did I "think was rubbish" etc... I think most other Reds players who were idolised over the years weren't overrated...

Wardy was absolutely unplayable in the weeks leading up to his departure, a proper beast of a centre forward but looked softer than he actually was, with the hair and good looks. Wasn't a scorer of good goals, I struggle to remember any really that stood out as spectacular, unlike Dyer, Sheron, Hendrie and Hristov from that same era who were all capable of a worldie finish. He's my second favourite reds striker, Wardy, behind his eventual replacement, Shipperley who had the same all round game, but scored all kinds of goals. And he deserves to be in the underrated thread.

Imagine having them two up front, Eaden, Barnard, Hignett, Redfearn supplying etc. Wow. And then after an hour you can bring Winnall on against tired and bullied defenders. Oh for a time machine.

I'd travel from Cornwall every week to watch them play for us.

It has to be said but Bobby Hassell

At best an average full back, made out on here as if he was some incredible player

Everyone knows Bobby was a steady 7/10. No one denies that. But to give 7/10 performances solidly for 10 year is achievement we wont see matched for some time.

He averaged just short of 30 games a season over 10 years. I dont get what you're saying?
