Just wanting your thoughts are on which player we would miss the most if out injured for a long period or sold in January. Any comments are welcome on who you chose and why. COYR
Very true but I voted for Davies as Walton isn't ready for first team football yet, even at this level.
The fact that you could pick several players just highlights the fact that we are a TEAM. And that no one is irreplaceable.
Agreed. Potts is better in his position than Davies in his. But we have much more adequate cover for Potts. Considering yesterday for one reason or another we were missing Davies, Moore, Doughall, Pinnilos (from the start), Fryers, Isgrove and Woodrow I think we did well and if we could have them all available at the same time, we will have guys not even getting on the bench that's done well for us when called upon.
Moore for me. I know we won yesterday without him but for me he’s levels above any other striker at the club
With Potts starting:- P8 W6 D2 L0 GF22 GA5 PTS20 GPG2.75 PPG2.5 Without Potts starting:- P4 W1 D2 L1 GF7 GA4 PTS5 GPG1.75 PPG1.25 Having said that my answer would be all of them except Moncur and Bahre, although the latter is becoming more integral all the time.
Moore potts and pinnock id say. We are a miles better team with keiffer in it. We would miss his goals and hold up play if he was out for months and months. Was pleasing to see how well lads did without him yesterday tho.
Only time would tell if he is ready or not if he were given more games. Davies going away for these internationals gives him some game time which has to be a good thing. At no point yesterday did I think I wish Davies were here he would have done better with that. Davies is the better all round keeper, and so he should be having a lot more experience. Waltons distribution is excellent though and a lot better suited to our style of play. Let's hope he can develop into a good player for us. It's nice to see people coming into the side like Brown who I thought put in a good performance yesterday. Another who will only improve with game time.
4-4-2 wwith Pottsy on the wing. Those power surging runs and goals would be sorely missed. But could quite easily have been Mowatt, Dougall, Pinnock, Lindsay or Moore. Bahre will turn out to be a great asset in the coming months I am sure
Dougall or Potts. Yesterday was the shakiest we've looked at the back this season and I think that was largely due to Dougall's absence.
Voted based on the thread title- ie most valuable transfer fee wise which I think is Lindsay. Most important player is Moore.
I think the player who would demand the biggest fee is pinnock ball playing center half strong and good in the air. Him Potts and moore are the spine of this side hopefully we don't lose any in January.
I think its an interesting debate. I voted Moore purely because we have no alternatives to his role and he makes space for others and gives defences such a hard time. I think we would still have goals in us but the other strikers we have are inexperienced and dont give us what Moore does. You could easily pick any one of these players but we do have options. Cavare would be another as the position isn't well backed up so I'm surprised he isn't listed. So its not just the player but the role they perform thats in question.
Moore is worth most financially. Always been a premium on goal scoring strikers and hes a cracking asset at this level, as I think we saw yesterday without him playing. Dougall seems to be hard player to replace team wise when hes away aswell. COYR
