In this the season when Barnsley's away record is probably up there with the best for many years my own away record is abysmal. I have manged to get to 10 away games and have seen us win just twice, at Preston and Villa, and seen 7 defeats and one draw. Apart from the games at Brighton and Fulham I don't think we have been second best in any of the other away games I have seen. Last night was disappointing but along with the other 2-1 away defeats I have seen this season it could easily have been an away win. Even in the 4-2 loss at Ipswich we still created lots of chances and the score could have been quite different. The main positive from last night for me was to see Adam Hammill make an immediate impact once he came on as sub. In the short time he was on the pitch we had a more dynamic attacking tempo and his enthusiasm rubs off on the other players. I think he was fouled by each of the QPR defence in turn and then got booked himself when one of their players fell down under a breath of wind in front of him. He seems to be regaining his form and long may that continue. One final thought - there are 10 games left that is almost a quarter of the season still to play. Lets not give up on them now
I don't travel well. Hudds and Leeds - lost. Blackpool - abysmal draw. Last season was not much better. I'm best sticking to the home games.
Mine isnt so great either but better than most seasons - some seasons I havent seen us get a point 2 wins ( Brentford and Villa) 3 losses (Brighton Fulham and QPR) 1 Draw ( Reading) Total points 7 from 6 games - could be a lot worse I suppose
