If we don't get big Macca back to the club, my shout would be for David Unsworth. He's got experience working at youth level with Everton, and looks like a no nonsense type of manager. I'm sure his attacking approach style of Football would be ideally suited to our team. I'd be really confident he could keep us in the Championship this season if we appoint him as Manager, Come on You Mighty Reds !
The more i think of it, this type of appointment is what would suit our 'spreadsheet' philosophy. A coach that is used to dealing with young players and has done it successfully at a top club. Definitely not the worst name to be mentioned, obviously well thought of at everton. Id rather take a punt on someone like this than a lower league bloke
David Unsworth is too much of a risk. I know standards are different in the Prem but he couldn't turn around a sinking ship when he was in caretaker charge there. He should have taken the Oxford job when offered it if he really wanted to get into first team management. I like Uwe Rosler. Think he could do a job with us and I think he's get-able as Fleetwood have underachieved this season. Would rather be shagged up the arse with a toffee crisp wrapper as a jonny then appoint Sean O'Driscoll as manager.
I've worked in Donny for years, and know BOTH of their fans (I knew the other one too but he got sectioned). Whilst there's no disputing that O'Driscoll is a very knowledgable football man, apparently he played that ridiculously boring possession football and wanted his players to 'walk it into the net'. By all accounts, in his tenure, it wasn't uncommon to have 70%+ possession and still lose. We need to stay up, but we also need a brand of football that will sell season tickets, so I don't believe he's the right man for us.
Rosler or Pearson for me but you do not know who might pop up from the continent , someone we have never heard of
Didn't Leicester have something like only an average of 39% possession the season they won the title, shows its not how much you have the ball but what you do with it when you have it
