Bought 2 bottles of a Badger beer tonight from the 4 for £6 shelf.
Checked the receipt on the way out, as I always do, and saw they were priced up at £1.35 each, in other words 4 for £5.40, or 2 for £2.70.
I'd bought 2 others which were priced up at £1.78 each so with the 4 bottles added together it came to £6.26.... all on the 4 for £6 shelf. There was no reduction at the bottom of the receipt to bring it down to £6.
I got the manager to see the shelves and told him he'd better be careful, it was naughty and he'd best sort it out.
He reduced all 4 I'd bought to £5.

"Lots" might be overstating it slightly.

Tesco got into trouble a little while ago for not taking expired special offers off the shelves.

Slightly different but the Tesco I sometimes go to has 3 scales to weigh fruit and veg. One of them has red peppers at their correct price of 55p, the other has them at 80p. On 3 separate occasions I've informed the staff of this. The first time I was told someone would sort it, the 2nd time the scales were immediately switched off, and the 3rd time I was just told to use the other ones. I often wonder if supermarkets do things like this hoping people don't notice.

For around a month a pack of Wall's frozen sausages were reduced from £2 to £1.25 according to the signage in my local Morrisons. They came up as £1 when scanned. Bought them a few times and it was never corrected, didn't want to tell them incase they put them up to the amount on the sign. It's since gone back up to £2 and then back down to £1.25 (actually scanning at that too) so I reckon it was a mistake that went in my favour.

People forget that overcharging for products is a criminal offence punishable by £3000 per item incorrectly labelled on the shelf!! Unfortunately Trading Standards seem unwilling and under resourced these days to enforce these laws but people have the right to challenge for their rights.

Supermarkets and the larger retailers seem to think they are above the law far too often these days ....And Trading Standards only want to take on the Small guys!! Know your rights!
