The Bristol board is an an absolute joy to read. Some of their comments to visiting Barnsley fans at the start of the season we're so arrogant but special agent Johnson (who they actually paid us to take!) - is doing a fine job!

The Villa board is interesting too. Hearing their fans saying that their team is a shambles, that rather than buying Houriane they should just buy our whole team rather than their wasters!

Does make me think that at this moment in time all that Villa can offer Houriane is money. There is little else going for them at this moment. Someone said that we should offer Conor a sweetener deal with a low buy out clause if a prem club comes knocking. If we can do that within ffp rules then surely it has to be the answer - top up the pay this year and still get a fee in the summer if a better footballing option that comes along.

I don't want to lose him, but know that he's getting too much attention to be with us for much longer; but to lose him just to better wages, that'd stick in the craw. If a premier club comes along I don't think many of us would begrudge him his chance ... but not a basket case club just for money - please :(

You're bang right about moving for money and not footballing reasons. Look how proud everyone on here is when they see Stones, Holgate and Mawson step out in the Prem. gives you a sense of pride that we saw our club help to elevate them up there. There's no pride in losing a player to a team, certainly no better than us, but able to offer much inflated wages. That would hurt.

Villa had the 20th highest wage bill in Europe at the end of the 2015 season.

Absolutely correct. An abuse of the term 'Fair Play' when parachute payments skew the advantages over some clubs by rewarding their failure over those who have achieved success through promotion. In addition just look at the debts some clubs have racked up.

Huddersfield Town forum Down At The Mac have a matchday thread for games not involving themselves but what they have an eye on and that had an heck of a lot of support for us last night as we kept them above Leeds so it's in their hands again. Plenty bringing up bad refereeing, how Leeds don't always look good but seem to score. Slagging off the Sky Sports and Radio Leeds commentary teams for patronising us like it was our FA Cup final even though we have an excellent record about them and for making the post match interview about Aston Villa and not the game that had just aired.
