Renewing this week. To be honest I have thought long and hard about it and it could well be League One football but it is quality time that my daughter and I spend together and that is just as important. You never know we might even see a few wins

I will renew this week also but I think they should think about extending the early bird as a good will gesture.

That's a point, where are the begging letters? Some people, mainly older ones I imagine, who don't go on the internet much may not be aware that they have basically a week to renew otherwise it's a huge price hike.

You've to renew before the season is even over, or you get a big increase and they have dropped the May pricing catergory.

I've been bombarded with emails about it for weeks, and I've had a few texts too about it. It's still going on now even though I renewed a week ago. I do wonder though (as you point out) how people with no internet get to know. Do the club still send out letters?

We normally get a long statement from the Head Coach giving reasons why we should renew but I’ve not seen that online either.

"I've been a fan since I were nine. Used to have a season ticket. Why don't you get one, too? Love, Paul: one of your own. x"

I'd sooner not have a statement than something of that ilk.

I'm constantly telling the Reds fans I mix with stuff they haven't heard. Some of them use the internet, but not obsessively, some of them don't use it at all. I think it's very easy to assume that everyone either uses the BBS, Facebook, Twitter etc or takes notice of their emails. They don't.

With hindsight I agree, but to be honest in the present circumstances it would be difficult to know how to word such a letter without it being ridiculed, on here and elsewhere.

I don't think Alastair Campbell was available to check the final draft.

It would be PR suicide not to extend the deadline until the end of May.

I've had notification on twitter because I follow the official twitter feed, and it was in the weekly email the club send out that I subscribe to but I dont think I got a personal email and I definitely didnt get a letter. My Dad got nothing as he isn't on twitter and always pays for his Season ticket in person at the box office and hasnt subscribed to the club email - he hardly uses email anyway - I need to phone him and tell him to check if I ever send him a mail :).
I renewed online yesterday and Dad is going in to do his today - because the OP on the message board reminded me and I called him last night
