Good manager. Did well for us under difficult circumstances. As have all the managers that Patrick has appointed. Hecky is the best of them - but he has also had the benefit of a different recruitment strategy.
They'll be up and around the top seven next season and a much better appointment than Teddy Sheringham.
I think he's one of those managers who's worse when they have money to spend. He's a great motivator and I think he could do a good job for someone, as John Dennis said of Mel Machin. I thought he came across really well in that reds report interview, humble, affectionate towards Barnsley, and passionate in general and I wish him well.
Decent interview with him here http://www.theleaguepaper.com/featu...career-moments-at-rochdale-barnsley-and-bury/
Good luck to him, a promotion and a great escape for us in under 4 years as a manager, not surprised someone has took a punt on him.
Agree 100% Surprised he has got another job in football tbh. Although at that level I suspect tub thumping can get you a long way.
I'm not surprised he's got a job at all. Done well for us (for a bit anyway) and Bury. He'll have been improving tactically over the last few years. Definitely done better than lots of managers who are still on the merry-go-round! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really enjoyed that interview, informative. I know it's controversial, but I liked the time that he and Keith were at the club. I follow what they are up to and wouldn't be surprised to see Rochdale make the Play Offs soon.
