Been "on duty" now for 139 hours and not had a single alert for help. I hope that is a good sign that they don't actually need anybody right now. I am talking about the group formed from the Government's request for volunteers that wanted 250k and went up to 750k and was oversubscribed. Anybody else in the NHS Volunteers?

Yes. Like you, I've not received any calls though I'm only available evenings and weekends. There was a mail last night saying that there will be more referrals in the coming weeks so we'll see. I've also volunteered through another couple of agencies and only received one request thus far for the British Red Cross but they only required 5 people for delivery work on Easter Monday. It'll be good to help in anyway possible but I'll be equally happy if I'm not required.

Cheers, I wasn't sure if my app was working. On the app I can see a load of other volunteers on the streets around me but I don't get any alerts.

I didn't volunteer for this one (but did the Rotherham council one), but I've seen a few people saying they've had no contact yet. Perhaps its a case of too many volunteers, but no work for them yet?

I feared this might happen. They haven't really thought through some of their processes either. Collecting shopping for example. We set our own volunteer network up in Penistone about a week before Goodsam launched. Weren't sure how it would pan out at the time, but looking back it was the right move and we're glad we did our own thing.

Similar story. I've been quite busy doing jobs & dog walking for a couple of frontline workers, so not been logged in as available that much. I guess the need will rise.

I’ve also clocked 100+ hours ‘on duty’ but no call outs.
I do hope it means our NHS are coping with demand locally.
I have a car that hasn’t shifted in three weeks with a tank full of fuel, far too much spare time on my hands and a willingness to help but to not be called upon can only be a good sign surely.
