Who was that Potts?? I remember a certain conor hourihane having a poor game in his first season and getting subbed off by wilson. Half the ground cheered and booed him off. Guy near mear shouting and never come back. Lucky for us he chose to use it to make him better and stronger.

Cheering wildly? Think that's a slight exaggeration.

Probably the same people who threw the paper on the pitch during the Villa game.

A loud cheer from some fans. The rest applauded the lad off.

I heard a lot of cheers but around me he also received a fair few round of applauses/standing ovations too.

I thought he had a fairly good game. Made some great runs both with and without the ball and is our target from goal kicks. When he's off we literally have nobody to do that.

He did look like he tired though and probably should've come off a bit before he actually did.

Was it naive to assume the cheering was for Hedges?

Thought Potts played well, needs a bit of work on crosses though. Good player he is.

    I cringed I must admit.

However, the lad just isn't up to it. He's a tryer, but you can see he hasn't got a "footballing brain" so to speak. He just doesn't have the nouse to know what to do when he's in advanced positions. He's big and clumsy, and he looks like he's wearing size 8 boots when he's a size 11.

I'd say so. About 5 minutes before he was subbed, the ball arrived at Potts feet and he was yelled at by half the Ponty before he'd even had a chance to do anything, couldn't get shut of it fast enough after that. We like a scapegoat.
