Who could have predicted this last summer :
    George Williams gone
    Mawson gone
    Fletcher gone
    Isgrove gone
    Brownhill gone
    Winnall gone
    Bree gone
    Hourihane gone
    Hecky going

After one of our best seasons ever and consolidation in the championship I think we have to be true to ourselves......it's slowly going Tits up!

More important things than football to get stressed over. What happens, happens. I'll still be supporting them.

4 of those players belonged to other clubs. Admittedly Morsy came close to being ours but fact is he isn't/wasn't one of ours. Not much was said about losing players until after our results/ form upturned. Yes the January Transfer window proved to be negative for us in terms of results since then, but for goodness sake cut all the doom and gloom. It seems to suit some posters agenda on here to say that Hecky will definitely leave. Personally I don't think he will and certainly hope he doesn't. If he does then it'll be a case of the king is dead, long live the king and up will step the next hero (hopefully) and let's face it, if you don't have hope as a a football supporter whoever you support then why bother?

Brownhill, Fletcher and Isgrove weren't our players so you can't really count them. I would suggest that James, Armstrong and Kent are at the same level collectively. Williams was deemed not good enough and Yiadom is a far better player in any case. Hecky is pure speculation so basically we're down to Mawson, Winnall, Bree and Hourihane. So it's the same argument all over again - did we get enough money for them?
Personally I didn't think we did too badly out of Mawson and Bree but we were shafted with Winnall and Hourihane.

Well I like it mainly because I can put things into a football context separating them from everyday real life occurrences. I also don't have any strong feelings about any of our previous managers, just opinions. If, and it's a big if, Hecky leaves and the next person continues his great work and of course betters it, he will be a hero in my book.

I didn't take it as you having a pop at me JC, I know from your many posts that's not really your style. I do get a bit fed-up of coming on here and reading all the doom and gloomesque posts though. What will be will be. I don't see it all as negative but understand the concerns given our form since tend of January. As an aside, is it me, or is it usual that we get an influx of right-wing type nonsense posts when things aren't going well on the pitch? I heard that Gloriastitts once posted a football match related post on here but I must've missed it.

I'd say there were as many, if not more, left wing type nonsense posts on here and not just when things aren't going well on the pitch but I know it's an argument i will never win on here.

Really.... In any case I don't read many posts from the so-called left-wing tryying to whip up stuff like racist hysteria and other hatred like some on here do. Most post about football as well. I notice you don't make a point about the main topic I was on about, or is it Perhaps Gloriastitts is either a friend or like-minded poster like yourself?

Just an observation, i wasn't trying to score points. Most of my posts are football related but i do read other posts and that's just how I see it. It doesn't make me right though.

No, I'm with you mate. Take Norwich away for example, not much mention of the game. More like we lost so another opportunity to scrutinise the club.

Brownhill, Fletcher and Isgrove the same level as James, Armstrong and Kent?

I'll give you James but not the other two. I'd take Fletcher and Isgrove over Armstrong and Kent any day.

They're not, but we've got the benefit of hindsight.

At the same level Armstrong had scored more than fletcher, and Kent had probably been more prolific than Isgrove who started very slowly with us.

It's always a gamble with these players stepping up. Isgrove could be like hamill at this level, far less effective.

Where is Fletcher btw? Is he still at West Ham or did he move?

Isgrove got the criticism all last season that Kent now gets, a level higher.

He did mate. It didn't come together for him until late in the season.
