    We've only got 1 recognised CB fit haven't we? I maintain the pressure of captaincy went to his head and he's a good player still. I also think slotting back into the defence now it's formed a better relationship will suit him. Our fans are batshit crazy, finally start half approaching a proper amount of cover in a position and want to get rid of them.. We don't need £1m we need enough cover for injuries and suspensions.

    Yes. He's probably our fourth choice central defender, at the minute. Jackson, Lindsay and Pinnock have all started the season better than he has, and with rumours of Matt Mills being a target, it would make sense.

    I don't see how he would pass any medical if he's having a severe iron deficiency (which is what I remember is the official statement). Obviously I have no idea how far away he is at the moment. And he's shown last year that he can do well for us. So while I don't see it happening, I think he still has something to offer to us. He didn't start well this season, but if he maybe doesn't have to be captain and can concentrate on just playing his role he might just bounce back to the form he had when he was one of the fans' favourites last season.

    At the end of season yes - but would be madness to sell now unless we had a replacement lined up. If we did I'd happily take 1m.

    Well it might have made sense before Pinnock broke his foot and Jackson suffered injury setback but I'm dam sure it doesn't now especially to a relegation rival theyre the last squad we want to be strengthening.

    Not a chance. We go down we lose around six million quid, so what would a billionaire want with a million? Be stupid to sell our defensive cover and strengthen a relegation rival at the same time.

    Nope, 1m for a young championship defender not enough.. Ok so he had a dip in form, was this in some small way connected with his iron deficiency? Think he will return to fitness and fight for his place.

    If I was in charge I wouldn’t sell anyone at this late stage, mind you if I was in charge we’d have had the six players we needed at the start of the window at least a fortnight.

    Other more organised clubs have managed it, we had no problems letting 2 or 3 fringe players leave early on .

    Other more organised clubs? Or did they pay over the odds for quantity over quality? No one team is the same so you can't really compare one club making signings against another..

    Yes you can, other clubs are identifying their targets early doors and gettingvthe deals done we’re not it’s plain to see if you open you’re eyes.
