Yep that's the one. Despite my appalling grammer i have managed to gain 2 degrees and will be getting a whopping pension ( if i live to see it). And by the way, we in the profession jokingly say "ah but we're saving lives" when times are tough or on days like christmas day: i'm working christmas day too, it's cos i care (something else we jokingly say). Appreciate your wonderfully puerile response.
Is that because some people have taken to mocking those who work in our emergency/acute services or because i'm also being a bit of a ****? Or a bit of both?
I was filming myself and the missus on Lake Garda last summer and as we walked by these trees playing up to the camera there’s a bloke in his 60s at a guess, fully naked, playing the banjo. I even included it on our holiday video I made.
There was no such intent from me. I just made a lighthearted comment, accompanied by a smiley face. Of course we all know what you mean by '24-7", and the fact that you found my comment not funny is irrelevant. If you don't want to accept my post in the spirit in which it was made, then that's up to you.
If I'd known you were so far up your own arse, I wouldn't have made a friendly joke. Do you honestly feel a need to brag about how big your pension is? You've made a right arse of yourself on this thread.
I think i've acknowledged i over-reacted and suggested why. Other poster's comments havn't helped either. No worries.
I thought that was humour though? See how one perceives things differently than others. I don't care about money, never have. Again that comment was in response to an attack by another: it was purely contextual. I've been homeless in my time, been bankrupt too. I've lived on many a sofa and if it wasn't for my loyal sister i doubt if i would be here today. So no it wasn't bragging and to be fair i hate paying my contribution. If i was not married now i would not pay it. I pay it for my wife not for me.
You would have been far better just taking my original comment in way it was intended. Would have saved you a hell of a lot of hassle and explaining yourself. That's my final contribution to this thread.
Is your pension bigger than your sense of humour? If you were coming to save my life I'd happily give myself to the reaper.
That's a bit of a shame. Giving in like that. We're probably only half way through Havana's life story. I haven't been told how much is in his bank accounts. Or how many gorgeous women he's shagged. He must have broken a world record in summat or other. And been lead singer in a band that got to number one (anyone recall the title?) Or lived in a pothole on the A633 in wintertime. So yep, a shame. Best go walk the dog....
