Bet we'll be in for a bit of a shock. I'm still a bit miffed at having to renew now (which I have done today) when the price freeze promised for the coming season really ought to apply right up to the start of the season itself. The 30th April has only been recently added in the latest ticket info. A bit cheeky that. I'm sure though that you will tell me your kind opinions on the matter.
Why would they price freeze? They can charge a lot more for premier league football Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why should it ? to qualify for the price freeze, you had to renew before the end of April last season, so if it wasnt a problem last year, why is it this year, unless of course, it is another stick to beat the club with.
I thought the same as @Mr Badger. I bought early last season which meant my ticket price was frozen for this year. I'm sure it said year and not just April . I presumed I would be able to buy at that price right up until start of season. Didn't realise it meant I had to buy before this season had even finished again. Buying ours Friday but I move house next month and could do without forking out £400+ At the minute. So I'm not just using as a stick to beat the club with but people's circumstances do actually change from year to year.
Season tickets are great value . If we want to go and watch football at this level we have to pay the going rate . I understand that people's circumstances change throughout the year but that applies to most of us . Say they put prices up by £25 a ticket next year , that's 50p a week , come on its great value . I look at it as a saving cos if I wasn't watching Barnsley I'd be spending my brass on some other pointless pastime .
I agree with you that people cicumstances alter & I sympathise but my point is that the season ticket is an annual outlay which if you qualify for the price freeze you must have bought your ticket last april, which is a full 12 months. I do believe though, that you dont have to pay the full amount at one go as there are various ways of paying for your ticket .
Interest rates are on the way up. Another price freeze would be a decrease in real terms. Unfortunately we can't have the best of both worlds. 'Ambition' and no increases in ST prices.

I suspect if you wanted to be arsey you'd have a decent case for making em sell you your ticket at frozen price whenever you purchase it.
I think they realised they'd dropped a bit of a bollock and put in the clause for 30th April as a panic measure !! They should have included that stipulation last year so there would be no doubt, but then again, it's Barnsley, why do things clearly so fans can understand. It wouldn't be the same if they didn't mess up somewhere down the line.
Give over. Do you think they'd reduce prices due to their being only 19 games rather than 23 if we went up? They'd be bloody stupid if they did. They'd sell as many as they wanted at anything up to £500. Charging a lot less would be daft. Match day admissions for adults no less than £35. More for games against the top six. Not saying they would. But they could. And it would be paid. The number of Barnsley fans would double overnight. And that would still be amongst the cheapest in the premier league. What I'm saying is that they would not go Up as yo you rightly point out there are four less games. Therefore, equilibrium would effectively be a price rise
