One of the worst in the division. They've even lost to Sunderland, and their only victory at Carrow Road in recent weeks was against Birmingham. As far as I'm aware, our record at Norwich is nearly as dire as our record at Coventry or QPR. I'm not sure when we last won there, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't in my lifetime. Certainly I've seen us play at Norwich countless times, and only remember two draws, and one of those they rescued in the last minute with ten men after we'd missed countless chances to put the game to bed. Next match is surely as hood a chance as any to break the hoodoo?

Just checked; we've won there twice in the league and once in the FA Cup. Barnsley's last win at Carrow Road was in 1937. In short, we are due a win there.

Don't think we will win there purely because I think they're a better side than us, and as you say we never win there.

Can't see us getting anything from the next two games to be honest.

Their recent record suggests that they are no better than us. They lost to Bolton on Saturday. I think we've got a very decent chance. It'll be a good barometer to see where we really are, after beating two of the seemingly poorer sides in the division very comfortably. Having said that we also won comfortably at Millwall, who tonked Norwich 4-0.

I went there in 1981, the first away game of the season, drew 1-1, should have won that as well.

Our record there leaves a lot to be desired, just as bad at Ipswich, do we suffer East Angliaphobia?

    East Anglian away wins.
3 at Norwich (out of 21)
3 at Ipswich (out of 22)
3 at Cambridge (out of 11).
5 at Colchester (out of 20).
5 at Peterborough (out of 18)

grand total of 15 wins out of 92. Not great.

I've seen us win at Cambridge at least! 2-1 when Wayne Biggins scored two very early on. Our recent record at Peterborough is not too bad, though my personal record is one draw. I swore never to go there again after they destroyed us 4-1 in Viv Anderson's second match. Absolutely traumatic. I have a feeling that game is notable for David Currie scoring his final goal for us.

Our last win at Norwich was 1937.

    QPR was 1950

    Coventry was 1923

    Really?
We've had 3 good results on the trot and norwich are in free-fall.
I would reasonably expect 4 points from our next two games.

I've seen us win at Ipswich 10/11 season I think. Hammill, O'connor and Goran Lovre with the goals.

QPR set a record on Saturday by once again not winning at the City Ground; they have never won there in 29 visits. Here's to hoping our record at Norwich and Ipswich don't surpass that!

Promised to knock away games on the head after we let four in at Coventry again. I think it was under Davey.

I lived in Cambridge from 1978 to 1982 so I saw us win lose and draw....

We've only played at Ipswich 4 times since our last victory there. 2 defeats and 2 draws.

I'm more hopeful than expectant going to Norwich after the last 3 league games, but that's a big improvement on not being hopefull at all

In previous seasons we would have got 1 points from the 9 on offer, by way of defeats at Hillsborough and at home to Birmingham and a goalless draw at Burton.

I would gladly take a draw at Norwich after the international break, and keep our little run going.

This bleedin' international break will scupper our chances of winning and Norwich's of losing. The breaks always seem to change a team's fortunes and I hate them.

Remember both the Cambridge (92/93) and Peterborough (93/94) games. Biggins scored a great free kick at Cambridge (about 43s in on the video link). We were dereadful at Peterborough, Tuesday night game, it was Currie's last goal. Was it his last game too? Dominic Iorfa ripped us apart. Didn't we also lose in the league cup the following month, with Taggart and Anderson sent off too?

We have won each game before the three breaks this season, Sunderland, Millwall & Birmingham , so I think if we had a break every other week , we would get promoted ! lol

Cheers for posting that. I generally remember 92-93 as being a pretty decent season after a slow start. We must have been absolutely dire away as we had a very solid home record. Currie's goal against Birmingham in the monsoon was an absolute corker. The Newcastle match was pretty good as well.
