Not surprised by Villa result

    ........ midweek game with the objective of Wembley will have taken its toll and taken the edge off things.
    Expecting the result to be 2-4 ...... so I wasn't far out or surprised.

    Still think we should have brought more players in during transfer window - especially different types of strikers to provide more options.
    Our striker options, comparatively, are extremely limited in such a highly competitive league.

    As Simon Davey said - 'a third of signings won't work'.
    That's ok if you are adding a few players to the squad, but if you are building an entire squad then those statistics need to be looked at very very carefully.
    If you need a player for each position plus a spare - how many players do you need to bring in to hopefully make this happen?

    These 'off days' will happen until January transfer window when any inadequacies will be ironed out - hopefully by then with the new owners input.
    Fingers crossed before the January window we will be up and running.
    I'm expecting a weird and wonderful rollercoaster season ahead.
