We've now basically had two new teams since January. Although I am becoming slightly concerned at some of Hecky's decision making of late, the reality is that he has been put in an almost impossible position. Unfortunately, some of the players signed in the summer look well short of the required quality, while others are simply learning on the job. Whilst it would be easy to point the finger at Hecky if he has indeed had a direct input in terms of signings, the reality is that we have embarked upon a policy that is a massive gamble at this level. The policy, probably out of necessity, has been dictated by the current owner. Given the summer we had,my view before the season started was that we would do very well to avoid relegation. I'm possibly less optimistic now than I was then (notwithstanding new owners pumping in significant resources in January)
