We ran out of steam after 75min, we need to either pace ourselves or get fully match fit. We were well worth our victory today & should have been 5 or 6-1 but the most important thing is 3pts, uuuu Redddddsss

Yes 3points,but I think that they came out 2nd half and did to us what we did to them in the first half which was chase every ball, get into the tackle, winning headers and just disrupting the way we play and it seemed to knock us off our play. Also we have to put away some of those chances,if half of them had been on target we may have got a couple more.I also thought Dougall had a cracking game today.

Dougall was everywhere there was trouble, putting fires out here there and everywhere. He made two fantastic tackles deep in our half in the dying minutes - and he did it all without getting booked!

Certainly is just hope one of our new signings can fit in to cover for him.

What we need to do is put away our chances when we are on top. We should have been out of sight at half time.

We do seem a bit short on cover. McGeehan & Victor were disappointing when they came on I agree, although I think Daniel will get some of these players up to speed as the season goes on.

There's nothing wrong with our fitness. When your opponents have a decent spell in a game which all teams will its how you manage it.In my opinion we saw the game game through and left everything on the pitch.Continue like we are and we will win the league.

Nah, you can't have it all your own way for 90 minutes and not have a scare. You've got to give respect to the opposition. They're not paid to roll over.

Admittedly, we should have been out of sight, but we weren't.

I think the Match fit is a bit of a red herring we won’t play many games in 25c temperatures this season and in all the other games we have looked stronger than the opposition at the end. Our bigger problem is missing too many of our chances. If we had scored a 3rd (or more) we would have had a much easier time at the end

Hmmmm, maybe but if you think about it we didn't create as much in the last 15/20 mins and the Gills got back into the game, we looked tired.

Both sides were pretty pooped at the full time whistle. Our lot didn’t have the energy to come over and exchange the customary clapping before we left. ( I’m sure they did eventually though)
