You aren’t anti-Jew you’re probably a decent human being. And if you’re a decent human being what the Isreali’s are doing & are allowed to do should anger you like it does me. They’re getting away with it because of the anti-Semitism angle. No one in mainstream media criticises it, it’s disgusting.
Correct there wasnt any Munich terrosits buried there. Just the founder of Black September the group behind the attack his aide, his head of security and the man who is accredited with the planning of the attack...
Same as anything else it has to be worked on and worked on, Keep harping backwards and nothing will ever get done.
Iran is a democracy. Saudi Arabia isn't. A lot of reporting on Iran is way off. It is no more religious a country than America. I'm not standing up for it, as there are human rights issues (just like there are in the USA). Saudi is way, way more backward in the way it treats women & any dissenters. Dom Jolly did a great travel book, going to fecked up places & his travels in Iran are quite illuminating. Alcohol can be ordered as "pizza", for example.
Strike WTF, My point is you get meaningful dialogue and then show a commitment and in time the people will start to listen and maybe organisations etc will lose their backing of the masses. alternatively, everyone one could just sit back do nothing, keep pointing to parts of history that suits their agenda/ideology .
That's one of them , ( just to be clear the one he couldn't 'remember' enough of to give a straight answer) despite being given multiple chances what about the rest over the years. What about the ones when he was probably just popping out for a game of darts with his mates from the IRA
I'd hoped a hint of progress was being made the last decade, particularly as America (which is a big cog in the wheel that is Israel) were shifting to a 2 state solution. Now Trump has stirred the pot and sided with Israel openly, it only seems to have emboldened them further and the way they've dealt with the Palestinians is shocking. I can understand violent retaliation, but it doesn't condone terrorism. Neither is it good to demonise an entire race based on governmental choices, nor stand together with a terrorist organisation. Another mess, the world is full of them at the minute.
That would be ok if the response did not say, and I quote, the Jews and how they go on about the holocaust like they are over-reacting to something. Then the post goes on to say they are guilty of horrendous crimes against the Palestinian people but there is no acknowledgement of the issues on the other side of the conflict – it is structured as if to say the blame for the troubles is entirely the fault of the Jews. Even taking the Jews out of the equation any fair minded person can see that Hamas and the Israeli government both do little to help the situation and do much to enflame it. They can both be as bad as each other. I suspect it may not have been intentional but the whole post anti-semitic in the way it is written. Like I said if somebody had posted something similar about Muslims on here they would have been rightly rounded on but it seems that it is ok to say anything about Jews, even if the wording was just careless rather than racist. There appears to be some double standards being applied which I am uncomfortable with and might start to explain the issue within the Labour party.
You are the one who states not to harp on about the past so its either the entire past or none of it. Not just when it suits a point of view. The 'masses' wont listen whilever Hamas and their ilk with their agenda of death to the jews destruction of Israel. Same agendas financed depending on which party you pick by various middle east states including Iran. No matter how many times or how loudly you bang the drum of peace.
The post clearly says The Jews which is why I challenged it. If racism is to be challenged then it is only fair that this applies to racism in all its forms, there is no room for selectively applying condemnation. I suspect the poster didn’t mean it to come across how it did but the way it was written cannot be defended and anyone who does would be hypocritical to start using words like ‘racist’ to condemn other people just because you don’t like their particular brand of racism. Trump is an idiot but that is taking the debate in an entirely different direction and it’s hard to argue that both the Israeli government and Hamas were any better prior to Trump. They are both as bad as each other and to say all the troubles there are the fault of Israel and that Hamas are the victims is also bordering on anti-semitic.
What is your point? When did you last make a non political statement on here? Where do you stand on Brad Potts?
Its wrong what The Israeli government is doing by taking Palistinian lands and at will shoting dead men woman and children when demanstrating against these acts. It's also wrong what Hamas are doing in attacking Israel but if Israel stoped taking land and started giving it back then surly they would stop. Its not helped when the idiot Trump moved is embassy and gives is full backing to Israel, while ever he keeps doing these things there will always be problems, even P.M. May who is up Trumps arse, her govenment said it was wrong. If being against the Jewish government of Israel for what they have done and are still doing against the people of Palistine are classed as anti-semitic then I'm one.
I don't disagree with what you have said however the original point we are discussing doesn't make the same point that you have made. Disagreeing with the policies of the Israeli government does not make you anti Semitic and nobody would argue it does.
Nobody with a brain but most people with a brain know the difference. One is a legitimate issue with government policy the other is just racism, pure and simple.
Who? I'm not trying to catch you out I just genuinely cannot think of anyone in power or with influence who doesn't know the difference.
