A protester has just interrupted Theresa May's speech at the Tory Party Conference and handed her
a piece of paper saying " Boris Johnson has asked me to give you this". It was a P45.!
They are in turmoil and spend most of the time criticising Jeremy Corbin. What a shower.!

It was Lee Nelson turns up at these events, he's the one who threw a load of fake money at Sepp Blatter

Just watched Daily Politics. Confirmed that it was Simon Brodkin a professional comedian
who pulled the stunt. Questions will be asked as to how he got a pass to get in.
I don't support May or her policies, but I felt sorry that she had a coughing fit throughout her speech.
Good to hear that help will be given to first time buyers, a cap on energy prices and tuition fees, but no mention on capping
interest on Credit cards or what's being done to get some of the survivors of the Grenfell fire into permanent accommodation.

Its always good to see someone try to fix the problems they've caused in societies.. albeit 20-30 years too late for housing and energy prices...

Can someone help me out. I've been trying to think of one positive legacy left by a previous Conservative government. The Welfare State and the NHS are the Labour legacies, but all I can think of as the legacy of Tory governments is destruction - selling off national assets to foreign investors, dismantling the state industries (mining, steelworking, railways, utilities, etc). Has any Tory government since the war left the country in a better state than it was before they gained power? (Not that all Labour governments have either, but that is a separate argument).

I remember Cameron and Osborne promising more housing. Nothing came of it. As for building council homes, there are no votes in it for them so my guess is they won't bother.
Its just more empty rhetoric to try and galvanise and muted conference.
Similar to the energy cap that May promised in her disastrous election campaign., still waiting for that one from the Manifesto to materialise but it has died a convenient death.
Boris Johnson 's comments on Sirte show exactly the Tory mindset 'Profit before People' There's a nice group of fellas, he said at a fringe meeting, just waiting for the go ahead to make Sirte into a resort like Dubai, once they've cleared the dead bodies away!
I don't know which was worst, watching and hearing him say this or listening to the braying and laughter of the Tories at the meeting.
Unspeakable utterances from a vile opportunist
Empty seats, clever use of camera angles, their whole conference had been a damp squib.
The sooner they're out the better.

These are Labour Party policies, this shower in power now have no real idea on what to do, I find it very hypocritical of them to NOW say they are capping tuition fees, just a few weeks after actually voting to INCREASE them !!
