O/T why do the women on the Chase

Always offer much lower money than the males ? It pisses me off!

 

Is this a trap? my joke answer is - because they've already spent the money on shoes.... lol

 

Or because men only have one wardrobe, while women have four (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).

My other half used to pack 4 different outfits and 6 pairs of shoes when we used to come back up home and visit for a long weekend

 

And I bet you came up here with just a change of socks and underpants.

 

Ha ha! I assume the chasers don't actually decide the sums, but the women always seem to offer less.

 

Gender pay gap? the woman aren’t used to dealing with such large sums like the men

Paul gets to offer £70 000, highest Anne goes is £50 000. And the lower offers are stingier , £100 to - £3000

 

One of the women contestants tonight owned 64 hand bags.

Just can’t get my head around this.

They seem to class Paul Sinnah as the No 1 quiz expert in the U.K. after he won a major
competition that was televised. From time to time, Bradley Walsh introduces Anne Hegerty
as the fourth best quiz expert in the U.K.

One of the big attractions for viewers to tune in to watch the Chase is the large amounts of
money that is offered as a potential team prize. Regarding the latter, I feel sure that the
instructions from the producers, is to attempt stop the contestants walking away with the prize.

To that end, I have often wondered whether they have conducted a risk assessment to try and
get a handle on which Chaser is likely to be successful in beating the contestants because as
you say Helen, there seems to be disparity between the sums offered.

For me, the most successful Chaser is Paul Sinnah and Mark Labatt is not far behind. I would
put Anne Hegerty third and Jenny Ryan fourth. Sean Wallace probably makes a nonsense of
my theory, in that he seems to offer large amounts but out of the five Chasers, he is the one
that is most likely to lose. It's too soon to form an opinion on the new bloke Darragh Ennis,
as I've only seen him on one show which he won.

 

I'd want to take Sean on as the chaser.
Now I've started thinking who the best bbs ers would be to make up the team

 

I’ve heard Donny-Red likes to sit at the top of the stairs and pretend he’s the Chaser.

One other thing I've also noticed, is that after the contestants have answered their questions
in the final round viz: set A or set B, Bradley Walsh speeds up when asking the Chaser
their set of questions thus giving them a better chance of defeating the team.
