I keep resting my hat on this lad improving our strikers, we are desperately lacking a threat upfront and been 6ft 4 he certainly should be that. However his record bugs me that he might not be the best professional and looks like he's currently out on a night in London per his insta, I wouldn't mind if he was fit and banging them in for us but doesn't look the best sign. Need Morris back ASAP too, I agree with a previous post that I feel at the back with Collins in net and helik, Anderson and the potential of kitching we might have once of the best defences in the championship but strikers at the minute i feel like we can't score unless its a worldie. Hopefully get dike on loan in January again haha
Not on Instagram, so no idea what he’s posted, but if he’s got time off, what’s wrong with him being in London? Unless he’s absolutely blind drunk and hindering his training programme. He was back training last week, and am sure he’ll be in contention for selection either just before or just after the next international break. Whether he’s the answer to our problems remains to be seen. But I’m not sure our attack will be fixed with any individuals. We need to be less tentative around their box, and the forwards we do have need better movement
Agree his record in terms of appearances/goals isn't great. But the fact that he's having a night out in London is totally irrelevant. Looks like he's been to spurs game and had a night out afterwards. As long as he's not in training tomorrow it's not an issue.
Even if he is in training tomorrow it's not an issue for fans, that would be an issue between the club and the player.
Excuse me but as a fan and STO I feel it is very much an issue for the fans. From a purely personal point of view I’ve had my doubts about this guy dating back to before he actually signed for us. He talks a good game and it’s about time he showed us what he can do. I’m not holding my breath.
If you’re sitting at home chewing your fingernails off worrying about the commitment of a young lad having a meal with friends then I suggest your friends should be worrying about you. Try knitting maybe or a bit of top flight lace making; in dispersed of course with a few rounds of vigorous salami slapping.
As long as his meal doesn't give him 5hits I can't see a problem. Even if he had been on the lash as long as he trains I still can't see a problem.
The lad hasn't had a chance to show us what he can do yet. Through no real fault of his own. Think we should perhaps wait to make judgements after he's played a few games. And not make judgements on his character based on the fact that he went out for a meal once.
Of all the things I could do with my spare time, tracking the movements of professional footballers on their days off would be at the bottom of a very long list. Nevermind that, though. Let's all get together and give this lad a social media bashing on the basis that we all know for certain that he's going to be rubbish, even though we haven't seen him play yet. The mind boggles.
I just can't get on board with this. What players do on their off time should not even enter the consciousness of fans. This entitlement that so many have these days to know every little thing that happens at the club is just weird. There are some things that should stay within the club. Disciplinary matters are one of them. Injuries and illnesses are another. Fans have no right to know what's wrong with players. Obviously people are interested in how long players are likely to be out for and it's nice to get estimates, but then people kick off if it takes longer than expected and kick off if the club don't go into detail about what's wrong or simply start lies and rumours and force the clubs hand. See: Josh Benson.
What an utterly braindead 'opinion'. Having a season ticket gives you zero right to say where a player can go for dinner. You buy a seat, not a players life. Give the lad a bloody chance and get a life instead of getting riled up over nonsense like this.
