    What a shame Jake Greatorex has been released which would have been one of the best keeper names we've ever had. I am surprised Sam Fielding has been let go as wasn't he highly rated? All three pro contracts are for midfielders.

    Load up the squad with academy lads and sell the higher earners. I wouldn't be surprised to see a totally different squad next season. Halme, Brown, Mowatt, Chaplin and Woodrow will have attracted attention.

    Keep Halme, Douggall and Brown and it looks much better!

    I can see key players been sold, undisclosed fees no doubt they have the covid reason for sales and relegation to balance the books etc. I'd say clarke odour is infront of ben William's everyday of the week. And do you think we will see wilks back in a Barnsley shirt? Definitely good enough for league one.

    I can't see any player the Head Coach has put up for loan being involved to be honest. I didn't put Oduor in because I think he'll be one of the ones that leaves.

    Possibly he had a good 1st season shame it took us so long to use him, but we have the advantage with odour,chaplin and halme that they have long deals and I'd hope we only sell if the fees are very big.

    As with our last relegation the nucleus of the squad is there. Even allowing for some of the big names being sold. I think we have to factor in that players will be brought in too. Bahre and Dougall made a huge difference last time as did Woodrow. We sold Bradshaw and played with Moore up front on his own until October/November time.

    There will be comings and goings but a settled side is the main thing and the nucleus all know each other even though Ritzmaier and Sollbauer have only been here since January they've had chance to bed in. I think Bahre, Sollbauer and Ritzmaier will bring Schmidt on next season. He frustrates me because he has all the attributes to be like Winnall was. He's a finisher and his positional sense is good. He just doesn't want to get involved in the nitty gritty.

    If I had to make a competitive team up from.players I think will still be here next season I'd say

    ..............Collins

    Jordan William's....halme.....solbauer.....odour

    Luke thomas.....new player....ritzmare.....wilks

    .............conor Chaplin.........new player

    Jacob brown- teams were interested in January I think they will be back this summer.

    Mowatt- reading between the lines he loves it here but doesnt want to play in league one again he will be off if we go down

    Woodrow- scored alot of goals in a poor team too good for league one gone.

    Mcgheehan- not rated by struber

    Dougall- will the club extend his contract?

    Surprised at Sam Fielding, he was in York's first team when we signed him. He's just not broken through though. Jake Greatorex is another one I thought might have a future.
