No-one. As usual. Time to do away with this idea of roll overs and only put the numbers in the draw that are active.
Definitely doesn't seem popular with the members does it. Heard several complaints at the match and on here and personally know two people who have pulled out because of it
Exactly. So the majority haven’t been. Hardly usual as was said. The amount of rollovers has decreased over time, as more numbers have been taken on. It’s very popular. So like I say, it’s nonsense. Anyway, back to the football and beer.
14 out of 31 is so frequent it's hardly a statistic to use in defence of it not happening regularly. Then again, the official site thinks 86% is unanimous .
14% voted for the build-up play. As for the Centenary, as pointed out, the amount of rollovers isn't often 'now'. Because the Lottery scheme has picked up more customers since the revamp. So they aren't 'usual' now. It's proven a success, introducing the rollover element. I can say this as I have all the facts, so I apologise for being in that position. But genuinely, whilst a few folk now grumble, their actual chances of winning haven't reduced due to the rollover. I'm happy that it's things such as these that you're referencing for improvement or whatever. Because it shows just how well we are doing in general. And I know you're one of those who will praise when it's deserved also. So fair's fair. *I wasn't the Mr White who won, though. I don't gamble.
Recently: 2 out of the last 5 (40%) 3 out of 9 (33%) 4 out of 11 (33%) 5 out of 14 (36%) 6 out of 16 (37%) You must admit that 1 in three (minimum) for the last 16 draws, before which it was even more regularly, would be considered regular and not unusual by most people. If I asked Rachel Riley for a shag every week and she said yes one in three times I think I'd be telling the whole world we were doing it regularly. Daft question but how have the chances of winning (the main prize) been improved by adding in numbers that aren't taken/not redrawing until there is a winner?
They haven't improved. But they haven't decreased either, which was my point. The only difference being, that if it's an unpaid number, it's not redrawn until there's a winner. It rolls over until the next week, and the jackpot doubles. As for your regular 'thing', facts are, we keep getting more members, and the amount of rollovers has decreased. That's not a coincidence. Therefore, something that was not dying exactly, but definitely needed some first aid, is now in much better health.
But there surely is a lower chance of winning isn't there? If there is a 1 in 1000 chance of winning and it was redrawn until there was a winner that could mean 2 draws in a week, now there is only one. Doesn't that mean you have less chance of winning? Same chance of being drawn out of the hat on any given draw but under the old system if it was redrawn then on 14 occasions in the last 31 weeks there would have been a second 1 in 1000 chance of you winning would there not? I could be missing something of course. I'm not a member by the way but I can definitely say I've heard quite a few people who are members grumble about the new format
