Checkatrade Trophy Draw!
Continue reading on the official site...
A reds reality check if I ever saw one .
Ha ha forgot about this tin pot trophy OMG here we go !!!
Let's go out and win it again!
Not been the same since johnstons pulled the plug .
Not the same as last time a load of group stages and under 21s and stuff !!!
Think there s premier league U21 in it too.
Take the u21s out of it and you're left with the same teams we had to beat last time.
Reality check I agree - but more Tues games will be good for me and the grandkids - blood them early
You didn't bother going to Wembley then?
I'm all in favour of going for it. Our entire trophy cabinet consists of one FA Cup, three Third Division titles and an EFL Cup. We're not in a position to turn our noses up at adding to it, especially in a competition we have a realistic chance of winning.
If we were to get to the final again, I (for one) would take great pride in watching my team walk out at Wembley.
This with knobs on.
Looking forward to another TWO Wembley trips.
One will do for me, old mate, especially if we were to go up as champions!
What a horrible competition. It's a shame it's mandatory, although if it wasn't we would probably still want to take part.
Yeah, we're better off keeping our powder dry for europe.
"The 48 EFL clubs have been placed into pre-determined groups, with consideration given to ensure travel time is minimised for supporters and recovery time is maximised for players."
So its not a draw at all....
That's a very very grim precedent. How long til rich clubs get byes in the FA cup etc? Just when you think the sporting bodies couldn't detach themselves any further from fairness.
I think the biggest the g wrong with competition is sides getting fined for making too many changes. I posted in the world cup if the England Belgium game was subject to the same rules both sides would have been fined.
As for the rest of it I have been to more games at Wembley than Oakwell to watch this competition.
It’s coming home.
