I reckon we should be looking at signing a keeper in January IMHO. Maybe look into a longer deal with Jordan Smith perhaps.

We should sue the fa, football league and checkatrade for causing this.

Oh that's terrible news for Jack. He was playing so well and was certainly brave going in for the ball when the injury occurred.

I reckon he should have gone off though and let someone else play in goal for the rest of the match. He might have made it worse playing on. Remember the same thing happened to Heinz Muller - staying on with an injury.

Not as bad it once was. He'll be fine.

Pisses me off that he has injured himself in a Premiership wankfest.

I hope the human rights-abuse apologists knock us out, then we can concentrate on going up.

Not sure, I was 8 and don't remember. Regardless, that was 20 years ago. We've come a long way since then and it's not the career-ending injury it used to be.

Really gutted for the lad. Hopefully he won't be out for too long.

Its not the career ending injury it used to be, but it takes so long to get pre injury form back. I remember Anderson and Müller being out with it for months. After they recovered they were so badly out of form.

The write up says he’s damaged his PCL. A PCL tear is nowhere near as bad as an ACL thankfully, he should be back in a couple of months all being well. If it was a grade 4 (needing reconstruction surgery) he’d have had to have damaged another ligament as well, there’s no sign of that. I’d hope so anyway.

I completely did my ACL, PCL, MCL and grade 2 sprained the LCL in a car accident 14 years ago. Couldn’t fix the cruciates or the medial - my knee is supported now only by the lateral collateral ligament, some calf muscle they cut off and put in it and some ‘fortunate’ scar tissue growth that gives me a little stability. I’m knackered, the scar is as bad as the pain and instability.

If he’s only done the PCL, (and there’s no bone damage, again I’m only guessing) - with the advances in medical technology, a fully professional sports science team rehab‘ing him and a bit of hard work, he’ll hopefully be weight bearing and running by New Year or not long after. I’d be surprised if he’s not fit to play before spring; if he’s lucky in January or February.
