It's great to see that he's come back with a renewed enthusiasm and as long as he gives his all like he has since he came back, then that's the most important factor for most reds fans. Love how he prefers it up here now, good lad!!

Admire his attitude. With a good pre-season under his belt there should be no reason given his natural talent why he can't cement his place in the team and become one of our more influential players.
Great that his partner and himself are settled in the area. That should help.
Expecting big things of Georgie boy next term.

impressed with his response... I think in 6 months Hourihane could be a memory, if he keeps improving

Him and Mowatt could be absolutely massive for us next season.....if any club can nurture a young player on then he's got a great chance at oakwell.

I hope we can mould him into a center midfielder as he said he was used to playing in the 10 role at Colchester my only worry is both him and mowatt cannot play center mid we need would need a scowern/james type in midfield to do the dirty work. All good competition though

Mowatt has still a lot to prove & I'm not totally sure he's the man to replace Matty James, more in competition with Moncur for the more attacking CM role, but may prove me wrong on that. Ball winning CM definitely needed, who can spray passes around at ease.

Moncur was the deepest of our central midfielders for most of Saturday. He was playing 'quarterback' spraying it about for the most part.

If they play in a two they do interchange. You need a ball winner though & dominant presence. Hourihane became that, but wasn't for his first 6 months. I think Moncur with a Morsy / Scowen ball winner is the way. Hopefully Mowatt will come through too. He has a bigger track record, but being frozen out at Leeds seems to have hit his fitness, touch & overall confidence, so may take a bit. Can't see the two together being the answer in a 4-4-2, but who knows? James is such class he is hard to replace. I think he is a better player than Hourihane & one of the best CM's I've seen wearing the shirt since 1974...

I agree moncur along side a ball winning midfielder is the way forward next season. Looks like behind the scenes we have been working hard to mould moncur into a center midfielder. James is a class act shame we have no chance of keeping him if he has no chance of the Leicester side next season wouldn't mind him back on another loan.
