I don't think charging the same as other clubs are charging us in this league has any bearing at all on kick off times.
Like I said the last time we played Wednesday at 3pm the away end and home end ended up separated by a police line and flares thrown.

2 seasons back when leeds came and people took part in the flexi ticket (which enabled those who just come for the big games to only pay 25 quid for those games) the away and home ends again ended up separated by a police line.

When united came same season at dinner time trouble happened at the crossroads after the game.

The time we played millwall after Wembley syp made it early kick off.

When trouble happened away at port vale the return fixture was made early kick off.

The millwall and vale games must have cost more to police than the club made on. Ticket prices should be capped like they are in the premiership we get the point you continue to make but it has no bearing on kick off times. Even if the club disputed it they wouldn't be able to over rule syp or even sky like leeds have tried in the past.

I can believe it. I know a couple of Leeds fans who travelled by train and they said it was an horrific experience. I don't blame you for driving.

Reciprocal pricing isn't the only point. You just keep twisting my comments around to that. It's the whole season-ticket-centric approach and the failure to offer any other types of tickets on a coordinated and regular basis. It shows the club aren't interested in selling match day tickets. If they aren't interested in selling tickets match by match, they aren't going to be opposed to when the match takes place.

My point was it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference as SYP allow rotherham to play wednesday, united and leeds at 3pm saturday but haven't let us for as long as I can remember. Also like said if sky want the game moved the club can't do much see leeds in recent seasons when cellino tried to stop them entering the ground or whatever.
I'm not twisting anything, I just don't think we could get it over turned if syp or sky want the game moving.
As for Reciprocal pricing I don't think two wrongs make a right but until the authorities cap pricing it wont change. Thing is the same people were moaning about league one prices watching streams in boozers near oakwell I didnt think our on the day prices last season were bad.

Any chance we could arrange a protest/banners? "Football Supporters Pay Taxes Too" "Fairness For Fans" "End Police Contempt". Perhaps a minute's booing at the 50th minute?

Slightly tongue in cheek, but we should still make our opinion known.

After the trouble that happened at the last Leeds game in the Ponte im glad its been changed to an earlier time and more police in attendance. I take my kids with me and i dont want them to see it or be put at any risk due to knob heads, we are entitled to go to any match and shouldnt be subjected to drunken idiots fighting so ive no problem with the change as it gives us a bit more protection.

And that was a failure by the club to stop leeds fans buying tickets in the home ends. I started a post shortly before that match stating i had been in the queue and there were leeds fans in it who bought tickets. I challenged both fans and the person who sold the tickets at the time.
Hope things are different this time around.

Yes I do believe that started in the bottom of the ponty as a few leeds fans got found out in the ESL stewards tried escorting them out and trouble erupted. Either bfc letting leeds fans buy tickets in home ends or reds fans helping them.

I agree that in general we probably don’t have any more idiots then any other team. But Leeds Brings out a load of extra ones and with beer probably emboldens those on the fringes. A 3 pm Saturday kickoff means Wakey is absolute carnage. 12 on a Sunday will lower the numbers.

St Ledger is just a excuse, they don't want to police both matches.

Thanks for posting that, I always thought this was the case but had started to doubt i was right. Perhaps it's a case of If the club don't agree the cost from the police are higher?

So it would appear but I still dont know the full story
for example - and I am guessing here the conversation could be
SYP to BFC - if you play at 3pm on Saturday we need to bring in police from all over the country and it will cost a fortune
if you agree to play sunday lunchtime we are much less stretched and the cost will be less than half what we need to charge for Saturday

small point of sympathy for the police though - does the fixture schedule take into account big events nearby giving us Leeds at home on St Ledger day isnt great planning

Yes posted the same above its probably a cost argument from the police.
