Having watched this video, I really feel for Daniel.
He really seemed shell shocked and couldn't explain the level of performance which we had to endure.
I suspect this will be a very big week.
He knows how important next Saturday is, just hope he has a plan and the players actually execute it!

It's quite worrying that he's so surprised because the fans arent

But to see it in his face was not nice.
Think he genuinely felt let down.

You are correct, we are not as surprised.
But we have seen this for years!

If he's finally seeing the shortfalls the fans already knew this group of players have, then next month might not be too late for the wholesale changes that should have happened last summer when it was assumed playing in a easy league, that the lads would do better.

Some of them have needed a kick up the arse for a few weeks now. I hope they get read the riot act and told that the very least that is expected of them is 90 minutes of hard work, concentration and commitment once or twice a week.

I don't think all the promotion talk every time we string three passes together helps the players or coaching staff.

Not sure we need wholesale changes...but 2 or 3 experienced heads in the squad...wouldnt go amiss in jan.
Stendell can now start to bring his players in and see where that takes us. I think his frustrations centre around wanting to play a certain way but not having the quality of player he needs to enforce it.
Imho allowing Bradshaw to leave and the loss of Dougall has hit our style more than we want to admit.

We need more headless chickens. A Perkins type in midfield and Dagnall type up front ;)

To be honest I was surprised as just how poor we were on Saturday. Not very surprised I must admit having seen this team last season and many Barnsley teams over the years but I didn't expect us to be as bad as we were

I agree Farnham, thought we would get a point, half expected goalless draw.
But was very bemused throughout the whole game.
Wycombe had several crosses that I wish we had.
But then again the chance near the end where we seemed to watch it bounce across the 6 yard box.
Even Moore is struggling and going looking for the ball again like last season.
We had a team of crab twins in the first half :D:D:D
