    Burnley 2-2 Burnley

    This was the oft cited game of two halves, with Burnley very much in the ascendancy during the first period, taking a well deserved two goal advantage into the half time break, only for Burnley to peg back their rivals in the second 45 with a much improved performance. Burnley piled on the pressure in the final 5 minutes, but Burnley held firm. Both Burnley and Burnley remain in the top two positions in the league and it seems highly unlikely the eventual champions will come from anywhere but one of these two sides. On the evidence of today, it's very difficult for this reporter to separate the two.
