    Ah. So it's young Mr Cryne who has adopted Billy Beane's concept.? Well done that man.
    He certainly has had some success with it. Will be interesting to see if working alongside
    the original designer , who the article says intends to " be active" , in the time he can spare away from his studies
    as a Director of the Club, the two can devise a matrix that will find the gems who will consolidate our
    position in the Championship and who knows get us into the Premiership.?
    Exciting times ahead for all Reds fans.?

    Thanks for spotting and posting the article JC. If nothing else, we are starting to get National
    interest and coverage. Relatives in the USA are already saying that with the piece in the papers
    about Patrick and Billy Beane's involvement, quite an amount of interest is being generated around
    Barnsley in the States. Our folks across the ponds are in Florida and New York and their Mum was
    a Wombwell lass so they have an interest.!

    There's a quoted figure of £13m profit last financial year - I wonder if some of the 'accountant' types on here can say how much of this can be offset from previous years losses? If it can't there might be a significant tax bill coming......
