Has scored 6 goals for us in the 6 yard box. That suggests to me that he is being used correctly. He is not stuck to the left wing like some people think.

It's a shame we didn't play like that when Bradshaw was up front if that's the case

We never played a 3 though in the first part of the season.

I doubt bradshaw would have scored the goals Mcburnie has scored

He's not stuck there but was noticeably out there a lot more than usual vs Millwall, meaning he was barely involved as everything was down the throat of Kieffer or going to the opposite wing. I don't mind him starting out wide if he then drifts in as we're attacking.

Whether by managerial design or accident he was wasted against Millwall. Stuck on the wing looking lost for 90% of the game. Didn’t stop him nearly scoring though.

Not that it makes any difference to the point you are making but his goal v sheff wed was outside the 6 yard box.

I think the lack of quality play against Millwall in general made him and a few others look lost on the day.

Disagree. I think that tactically he was played far wider and deeper against Millwall and even more so for the second half against Norwich. Whilst I agree that him scoring so many goals shows that he can score when played as the wide man in a front three I don't believe that the position and role that he was playing in the games I mentioned is the same position and role from which he has scored and it is the way he has been utilised in these games which people are criticising

He was playing a lot wider against Millwall than he has in his previous games which left him completely ineffective but he wasn't the only player completely ineffective against Millwall.

Let’s just say - if he wasn’t stuck out left and constantly having to track back then he would probably have scored TWENTY by now.

I'm a little bit torn on this - clearly coming off from a wide position offers the opportunity to catch your opponents unaware and find space, however I also think it would be worth considering playing MBurnie as the middle striker with Hammill on the left and drop Moore.

Strange isnt it? Given Dimas' CV youd think the one position theyd have sorted by now would be fullback.

Correct Bradshaws starting position is central and has limited movement making him easier to mark. Mcburnie runs across the blind side of the centre halves as the cross comes in from the right making him harder to mark. Perfect example Norwich at home he timed his run from the left flank and got across his man to put it in the net.

The likes of Sarah and Mane for Liverpool are perfect examples they would score less if up front but playing wide in a 3 makes them harder to mark especially when the balls on the opposite side

    Who the flip is "Sarah"?
Bet she'd do alright in our side if she's that good.
