Being of a certain age I saw nearly every game of the 80-81 season. We had one of the finest teams in our history, basically the team that almost got us to the top flight the following year.
Two of the most memorable games that season were Burnley away and Chezzy away. We won at Burnley 1-0 and drew 0-0 at Chezzy. What I remember is not that we played flowing football but that we took on tough opponents, went toe to toe with them for 90 minutes and refused to yield.
That's the sign of a good team. No one can play champagne football every match.
Well done to the lads last night. I feared it would be a game too far for them.

A weakened team, a clean sheet against tbf a good Donny side, players to come back, a good bit of R&R for them, dont worry, as the geordie's say " keep the faith"

    Donny were shi.te !!!
    There for the taking.

We have a really good defence - especially Pinnock and Lindsay.
But we have a powder puff strike force.
There’s only Woodrow that looked to have the backbone to go on and score.

At the risk of saying that you are repeating yourself you have just regurgitated the OP i.e. repeating yourself. At what point do you accept that almost everyone believes you are wrong and everyone wishes you would shut up with the negative waves.

By the way, did I mention that you keep repeating yourself? Because you did.. repeat yourself... repetitiously.

    Annoying isn't it?

The fact you said Donny were ***** sums up your football knowledge .
Donny are a good side and played well first half yesterday and should have scored st least three .
Yes we were light weight but it’s not all about us there is an opposition to consider .
There’s a difference in wanting us to win every game and expecting us to.
Imo we’ve come through a sticky few games without some of our key players some of whom will be back against stiff but beatable opposition .
For me the run in starts at Walsall , Mackems have a few tough games ahead so not plain sailing for them or Charlton and Pompey .
Win for Luton today and that’s them virtually promoted as far as I’m concerned and firm favourites for the title , but lose and nerves could set in and who knows .
But to say on that performance is stupid just as saying on the Oxford home and Rochdale away performances we deserve to go up .
It’s over a season and if we come first second or win playoffs we deserve to go up .

Shrewsbury away sure it was in the first 5 mins.

Just double checked. Scored after 2 mins. Conceded another 23 mins in too. Worst I’ve seen us play this season.

Thing is, Nudge does this purely to wind people up. As far as that goes he's clearly very good at it judging by some of the hysteria he generates.
Just when will people start to ignore him?
