A frustrating 2 weeks has come to an end this morning with the return of our phone line in Darfield. We had no phone service and dial up quality broadband to the 13th and nothing at all since. Openreach had declared it MBORC because of the floods and wouldn't listen that our problem started 2 days before. This became even more apparent when their work last week near the green cabinets at Low Valley (which had briefly flooded) didn't resolve our issue. Yet it still took them another 6 days to do something about our problem. The last straw came last night when I vented my spleen (again) at Plusnet and was eventually given £20 to pay for some 4G.

MBORC's are a pain in the arse, especially when it's not effecting you directly. The trouble is, they prevent work being carried out even though your fault may not be affected directly by the problems.
