AT I'm with you on this one. The 'Remainers' have a problem. They campaign against leaving with No Deal but daren't campaign for leaving with a deal because they then become 'Leavers.' And then their smoke screen -- They throw personal abuse at those of us who voted to leave - we didn't know what we were doing, we were conned, we're stupid, idiots, racist have Tory friends or even vote Tory etc. They say that had we known the truth (THEIR truth) we would never have voted to leave. And then comes the Remainer mantra that Stalin may well have approve of -- In a referendum when you know the facts (i.e. have been re-educated) you will vote the right (our) way - and we'll accept the result ! Democracy Rules O.K.
You could apply the very same logic to the EU. Who knows what that will be like in 10 years time. Might be great, might not be. Its just as possible that in 10 years time the super blocs (USA/China/Europe/India) are the only nations not getting shafted in trade deals, while the minnows (potentially us) just have to take what we are given. Why people think countries like USA will give us a sweetheart deal is beyond me. They will strike the best deal for themselves (as they should) as a single country with 70M consumers or bargaining power will be greatly reduced outside of EU. Its just wishful thinking to think we can strike better deals when representing 70M as opposed to 700M.
Now the remain campaign are using "project fear". What would remainers say if the leave campaign were using a hypothetical dossier as evidence? They'd say it was impermissible.
id go for a sit down mate if i were you. who is using project fear? project fear doesn't exist, its a term made up to make you feel better about things. no one is using a hypothetical dossier as evidence, its called planing ahead, something the leave side might want to take note of.
No we won't hit China with tariffs, but China may well hit us with tariffs to protect their own markets. If that were to happen what could we do in response? There is strength in numbers & you want to just give that up & hope everyone will be nice to us. I'm sorry, you may well have valid reasons for voting to leave, but they're not based in logic.
You used some derogatory terms in your post - why - you must have thought they applied to someone otherwise you wouldn't have used them. Do you really think that there's a place in a political discussion for terms like racist, stupid, idiotic. Do you have a problem making your point or think it enhances your points if you use derogatory terms?
Might be too late for many by then. This with medicines should have been a priority or avoided altogether. 75% of medicines and clinical supplies in ths country come from or via the EU....that's some trade deals that are going to be needed. At least 2 of my missus's tablets could be affected (from a quick search).
Its a Brexit leaving govt prediction . Open Your ears and eyes man. If you want to ignore the evidence of not a remain prediction but a no deal Government prediction then fair enough but to ignore your own sides evidence as project fear and still argue that you’ve weighed all the evidence to come to your decision is wrong because it’s tribal and nothing else .
So let me just check, for clarity......you'd rather people voted in really important referendums without knowing the facts??
i'll use them when i see fit to, dont like it? dont like that many of the people who also voted leave are idiots and racist? then tough i dont really care. i repeat i didn't call you an idiot, stupid or racist, if you cant see that then again i cant help you.
I'd be glad they were looking into worse case scenarios. It isn't evidence though. It's things that might happen. This isn't the minority report. No one knows either way do they?
a tip -- - before posting a message just read it through a couple of times or you may well end up contradicting yourself in the said post.
Corrected it for you. This was the govt's baseline prediction, before they changed the document's wording for official publication. Not worst case, but the starting point. If you're going to persist with your facile arguments, at least try and get the details right.
MF - the important thing is the interpretation of the facts and, with respect, it's not for us as individuals NOT to accept how others see things although we may think them to be completely wrong. I don't think many of us believe every word the politicians tell us - nor do we think every promise in their election manifesto will be honoured. I voted Leave because of the uncertainty of the way the EU is heading - is it becoming right wing/nationalistic, how will the increasing influence of the Eastern E U countries affect us etc. If we're out of it then these issues are not important. Now MF I may be completely wrong in my analysis but I would ask you to respect my view of things.
