Many believe BFC are the greatest club not necessarily the greatest team , which isn’t a view but a fact
nope so I can establish if you’re: a) a troll who isn’t old enough to know better b) a troll who is old enough to know better c) a member of the older generation who partakes in eating gammon. it’s a pretty straight forward question. I’ll start you off - I’m 30 something,
To be absolutely clear, you created the thread titled 'opinion'. You were fully aware that by starting the thread in that way that it would likely be different to the vast majority of other peoples opinions . You have now got 20+ pages of people disagreeing with your stance (presumably - I got bored after 7 pages or so). The whole forum is now well aware (it has been for months) that you dont like masks. Literally every post you make is about them. This was addressed in your flounce post back in May (http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/304551/#post-2730815) and here we are 2 months later still going on about the same thing. You've had multiple people in this thread (and many other threads) asking you to keep this opinion to yourself going forward. Covid has hurt many people. Families, business and lives have been destroyed. This isn't about being pleasant. Its asking you to just have an ounce of empathy for people who may have a different opinion to you - who may have lost loved ones. In short, please just keep your opinions to yourself regarding this.
Im very sorry to read this Fonzie. I note among his smart arse replies to everyone else he hasn’t found the decency to reply to this post. Beyond contempt.
Well said S74. Sympathies to Fonzie and everyone else on here whose family or loved ones have been affected by covid.
Really appreciate it - I try not to speak about it on here as its not really relevant usually, and it led to a (warranted) suspension for me over Christmas when I wrongly ruined about 4 threads having a go at a few posters when I'd been on the beer and the wounds were fresh. It doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to have different opinions to me on similar stuff, folk absolutely are. I just found this too much.
The British government are removing the requirement to wear masks in 12 days in England (it is not 100% certain this will extend to the other nations yet). If you want to travel abroad for your holiday that you are missing, you will have to wear a mask - on the plane and at the destination airport. If your destination is Iceland or Holland, you can then take your mask off when you leave the airport until you return. If it is anywhere else in Europe, you will need to continue to wear a mask throughout your holiday. Some of those countries in Europe may not let you in without a negative test or a period of self-isolation. Visiting some of those countries will require you to isolate on your return. If cases increase significantly in the UK (which is a risk), then more countries will put more restrictions on your travel. Israel are another country that previously removed the mask mandate - and they brought it back after a spike in cases despite having more vaccination coverage than the UK currently has.
I don't think I know you, but my sympathies too. Grief can be a dark place, and it can lead to people doing things that they wouldn't normally do.
Heart breaking stuff, old mate. For me, I totally agree with your stance and self control. I don't think I could match your tolerance.
