OT Christmas telly

    I've just been watching the usual Christmas war films and it's suddenly occurred to me why the Germans lost the war.

    2 reasons really.

    1. They spent far too much time asking for everyone's papers and shouting very loudly.

    2. This guy was totally overstretched.

    He shared his time between invading Russia, defending Normandy from the allies, and was in every battle all the way back to Berlin, including the bulge and operation market garden. Before organising "old men and boys" to defend the capital.

    He did all this with a lovely tan from his tank battles with Monty in the north African desert.

    On a weekend he was in charge of colditz, and on nights took part in bombing raids on London.

    Hitlers biggest mistake was not giving this guy an assistant.

    He'd have pissed it!
