We've just had Fibre to the Premises installed and it's now been commissioned and working. Currently the only one available is BT which I'd expect as Openreach do the work. I'm currently with Sky and will be able to get 145mbps when available with a view to 245mbps when Sky announce it. The other one when available will be Vodafone Gigafast. I can get 910mbps with BT, anybody got this? I'm not a fan of BT having had dealings with them for 25 years through work but that was for business not personal, cheers

Really - there are many people who provide fttp - I almost installed fttp to out office 8 years ago before the fibre to cabinet was as widely available. we had switched previously to use a bonded ADSL from a company called Link-connect to get improved speeds - it was better than just one adsl line in but not great.
I was all set to install fttp with a company called Vitesse ( much cheaper than BT or Zen ) when FTC got enabled. We could get the same download ( though not upload) for about 1/10 of the cost of the dedicated fixed fibre line.

You missed Virgin which despite not being fibre gives up to an average of 516mbps currently.

I’ve been on 200mbps for years and am confirm they really do deliver that speed (just tested at 195 but previous tests are often over 200)

It uses fibre to the cabinet but coax (unbelievably) to the router (in the street too?)

it’s definitely all coax in the house, both to the tv box and the router.

I’ve got it, BT are the only domestic company that provide me here, there are other providers but mainly commercial that proved more expensive

We got a new build last year and only realistically had the choice of BT FTTP. Its been fine in fairness, never noticed any issues. Have also recently been given a free upgrade to faster speeds

Sorry when I meant available i mean because it's only just been done so therefore other providers haven't got it updated yet on my postcode, I'm sure they will in a few months

I can't get Virgin as it's a newish estate and they didn't get the original setup. I did have it in the previous house which was a street away so was a bit annoying when we moved and I couldn't get it

if you live on a new build estate they tend to be limited to whom you can use as an ISP or heavily incentive whom you use...

EG Persimmon have a tie in with Virgin giving you 3 months free...
