Got the Transpenine train back to Huddersfield and then a taxi to are lasses in Shepley. Conditions under foot really good, hardly any snow / ice around but supposedly Barnsley FC and surrounding areas are that bad they cant put on a game tomorrow #********

Had it bad in Norwich - why make it difficult for them as well

Who cares about Norwich, we should be 100% focused on BFC. We're trying to stay in the Championship. If the boot was on the other foot they wouldn't be worrying about us.

I work just outside Leeds City Centre, but not far from the train station and the foot paths in some of that area are dangerous. Thawing out quickly, but it's worse now its frozen than it was the other day when it was 6 inch of snow.

I presume some of the areas around Oakwell will have had much less foot traffic than Leeds City centre has over the last few days and so it might not have thawed as quickly.

I’d agree with this, Leeds City centre is always clear within about an hour of snowfall. The ground is so much warmer from all the heated buildings and foot traffic. No way is that comparable.

Barnsley FC were prepared and ready. Until the SYP and local authorities stepped in .
