Probably reaches for the Yorkshire Tea in the cupboard but finds himself drinking Dorset Tea instead and reminicising wistfully about Yorkshire Tea whilst never going near a cup. Good advert though.
A great ambassador for Barnsley. Proving to the rest of the country that we are not all flat caps and whippets - that Barnsley folk can debate with the best in the word.
Brilliant little advert and mention for Barnsley. What's not to like. The longer one about the company is good as well with the receptionist answering the phone and saying "Just popping you on hold". She then holds the phone out towards Kaiser Chiefs who start playing the "musak". Very cleverly done!
I'll never understand all this antipathy towards Michael Parkinson. So what if he chose to live in the south of England for a good chunk of his life - he could hardly have had the career he has had from a Barnsley base, could he? I've lived in the south for most of my life as well but that doesn't make me any less of a Barnsley-born man, BFC fan and Yorkshire cricket supporter. Perhaps those who snipe at Parky should try living somewhere else for a while because I suspect that most of those who say they don't like him have never lived beyond the borough boundaries. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that but living in different parts of the country, and overseas, does give you a different and wider perspective.
I guess the Parkinson professional northerner act grates on some. When I lived in the south with a lot less money than Michael I came to see my football at Oakwell not one of the London clubs. He talks about it but rarely bothers. Not that I mind him myself but it does prompt the old joke: What gets less use than Ricky Martin's girlfriend? Parky's seat at Oakwell.
