No ticket, missed 1 at home all season.............

I hope the season ticket holders that are taking people that never go to games are feeling proud of themselves, as for the club, well, at the moment I can honestly say I hope administration comes and bites your sorry arses, and if that day comes and you ask for loyalty you'll get nowt from me only a two fingered salute.
Probably my last post, met some genuinely nice folk on here, good luck to you all.

    Feel sorry for you too

You must be totally hacked off by Barnsley to give up on them, I can understand why you'd want to, but I haven't reached that stage yet myself, thankfully.

Hope you change your mind when the good time Charlies are back in their armchairs.

    sorry but got to disagree................

I felt exactly the same after failing to get a Liverpool ticket and posted similar feelings in the heat of the moment at the time. I was conned by the club, who inferred what they did re Colchester stubs into a 260 mile round trip on a Tues night, finished work early etc, all in vain when they sold out to ST holders as they knew they would, but still made fake promises.

However on reflection, I realised I would never follow anyone else and as needs must I felt that poor organisation by the CLUB, should not stop me supporting my TEAM. So I vowed I would not get caught out again. I had over 2 weeks notice of the general sale date (so booked the day off work), I also arranged late starts at work for last Fri and Sat to cover the possibility of something being done for Colchester stub holders as per the "unauthorised rumours". My wife also rearranged her working pattern to allow me to travel up today. Fortunately my eldest started school hols today ( they run a 5 term year) so we got up at 2.15am, drove the 130 miles up, arriving at 4.20am, got tickets 160 and 161 and waited and got served 4 tickets together in the Family stand at 9.20am.

I've whinged and criticised the organisation over the last few weeks and I still find it amazing in this day and age that I have to do the above and cannot use the phone/internet, but I had plenty of prior warning and did what I had to do in order to get a ticket. If I can do it from a fair distance then I fail to see why MOST (OK not all a very few will have unavoidable circumstances) who live locally could not do the same. It was obvious to all with half a brain that 1400 tickets were going to be gone quickly. It was obvious, given that theyd used the raffle system for ST holders and deemed it a success that the same would be done today and therefore obvious that tickets would all be allocated well before 9am. And all this info was posted on here yesterday, so no one should be surprised if they turned up at 9am and got turned away.

Sorry, but truth hurts, if you wanted it badly enough, then today, you could make it happen (apologies to the 1% who perhaps couldn't)

Finally, hats off to the volunteers from the Supporters trust who organised the queue with expert efficiency this morning, I was expecting chaos and all was calm and like clockwork.

All just IMHO opinion of course ............

Glad you got one exiled, especially after the stuff you've had to do just to get up here.

I don't know how people can wish administration on a club they support.

The club have lost me too...1976-2008.

In a business meeting today at 9.30am....so couldn't possibly get down this morning. Feel very badly let down by the club, understood the mistakes were made for the Liverpool game, but to make the same mistake again smacks of grabbing the money and stuffing the loyal customers. I won't follow anyone else but neither will i be there when they are crying out of more support.

The reason I don't have a season ticket is simple.........

we have a family business, open 7 days, sometimes its not possible for me to get to matches, so not financially viable, if, like most people I did'nt work Saturday's and Sunday's then I would have a season ticket.

just bumped into my two nieces, who have never been to a barnsley game, but have tickets for the match. Asked them if they were looking forward to it, but was informed they had given the tickets away to two of their mates who also have never watched Barnsley!! (also know two arsenal supporters from Barnsley who went to the Liverpool game!) So think Rufus et al have a point, but sure they will be back.

Ballix. You've already said you've only missed one home game

So that doesn't wash. I live down south with no chance of getting to some games, but I have a season ticket.

Unfortunately, buying a season ticket is the only way to guarantee getting a ticket for games like Chelsea. If you chose not to buy a ST, then go to all but one home game, and then try and blame the club for you not getting a ticket, well thats plain barmy.

    RE: FAO Barnsley Football Club

Can't believe it myself. Some people really can find fault with anything. Even with one ticket per season ticket holder, there would have still been moaners on here today. As long as the 9K or so regulars have tickets (which they do), that's the most important bit.
