Have you actually met DB3K?

If so, you are entitled to your opinion

If not, shut the f... up until you have. He is a decent bloke (IMHO).

What about season 1997/98 - we all had to have season tickets then. Talking of which after saturday tha might be glad tha didn't get one. What a waste of a Sunday that was 6-0 to Gullit's boys. They've got a better squad ours is worse.

    I'm pleased for you, but...

... surely you must have wondered whether your plans would get screwed up by some bright spark announcing one thing and doing another.

Having a young family and precious little spare time, I had to forego my season ticket this time (the first time in many years !)
I've been to quite a few matches this season, as well as paying for all the family to go to Hillsboro' and Bramall Lane.
I haven't been able to make arrangements to get to the Liverpool or Chelsea games, but I told the kids I would bring them to the Wednesday game.

    And what happens...?

Our club are so inept, they spend days selling tickets that should sell like hot cakes and then announce they only have time to sell "bread and butter" tickets on the Wednesday before the game. And then no more ! And only at the turnstyles !

So, I accept that I'm not going to be able to get tickets, only to find out they are still selling them on the Thursday and Friday.

Many people on this BBS have expressed their disappointment in the organisational skills of the ticketing office management, only to be ridiculed by the unfeeling b*stards who have benefited by the fiasco.

The club have a duty to provide a fair and equal service to all its supporters, because if they don't they will soon find themselves without any !

PS. I wonder how they would have managed this at Ebbsfleet ?

"I can honestly say I hope administration comes and bites your sorry arses"

How can a "supporter" say something like that?

Sorry Rufus, but you have really shown yourself up. I can understand you being upset, but as people have pointed out, there were ways to get a ticket.

    It was never 17,000.

After the players have had a go, the sponsors and the "football family" there's not much left.

The ticket isn't going to come knocking on your door for you.

You have to get off your arse and get it.

RE: I can see how some people felt shafted over Liverpool tickets

Surely some of the non-season ticket holders who got ticket from season ticket holders are going to be part of the 9,000 that are there week in week out?

Just because they don't have a season ticket but got one, doesn't mean they aren't 'real fans'.

    well yes but..........

    they're the same thing

An anorak or parka is a type of heavy jacket with a hood, often lined with fur or fake fur, so as to protect the face from a combination of freezing temperatures and wind.

This kind of garment, originally made from caribou or seal was invented by the Caribou Inuit, Inuit (Eskimo) of the Arctic region, who needed clothing that would protect them from wind chill and wet while hunting and kayaking. The word anorak comes from the Kalaallisut word anoraq, while the word parka is of Aleut origin.

Well said. Some people need to get their head out of their backsides. Who the hell do they think they are. Been going to Oakwell since I was 7 (35 years) and I love them just as much now.
