    Yeah pricey was a copper When i was on the tracky i used to contact him regularly to arrange football matches between bsly nick and ourselves played against him quite a few times

    My mate was talking to him about a month ago in Alhambra centre where he meets up with some of the older players (including Sir Ronnie) for a coffee.

    Would Peter price ever had played with Glavin. I would have thought they probably. Passed in the door way as one driver they other was leaving

    Peter Price's last game was 31 Dec 1977, although he was on the team photo for the 1978/79 season. Ronnie's first season was 1979/80, so I would have thought they will just have mutual friends.

    You'll find Peter most days in the Alhambra café.He's mostly in with John Peachy,Harry who was a scout for us under Paul Hart and indeed Sir Ronnie Glavin who looks as fit as a butchers dog.

    Peter Price's last game for us was Allan Clarke's first as player/manager, August 1978, in a League Cup 1st Round 1st leg tie against Chesterfield which we lost 2-1. As well as Price playing up front, Dave Markham made his only start for the first team at right back, Brian Joicey played at centre half and Clarkey played himself in midfield.

    Yeah...Grenville Firth's lineup grid in the 1998 history did for me there. I didn't see Peter Price as a footnote under the League Cup tie.

    I've never seen Grenville Firth's book, mate, but it does sound like my sort of thing (being the Statto that I am).

    The stats in the 1998 book are all over the place and I would recommend it for confirming fixture dates, scores and opponents only. Its not one of Grens books by the way. His stats are mostly sound.
