    I remember when they had 2.5 billion in that away end. Even Wednesday have never managed it.

    That foggy night has become a thing of legend it seems. They did have a great following that night, but it can't have been more than 4000 tops. They spread out all the way across which made it seem closer to 5000+. That said you could hardly see the fans for the fog. We were awful that night and indeed most games against Doncaster during that period.

    We put a picture from the game on here once to finally put that to bed, the end section at the East Stand was sectioned off and the first 3 rows were covered in netting. The seating plan showed that covered well over a 1500 seats. The figure given out was correct. Still a poor showing for their 1st game at Oakwell for donkeys years and after Ryan had strung them along for a few years.

    They'll bring their usual 1800, we should be given the extra allocation at theirs this time.

    They did have some good attendances around 8-10 years ago (I.e. their most successful period in history) but the interest seems to have died down now. Probably have about 2,000 or so if they're still doing well

    I remember that game in fog. One of worst atmosphere's in home end i can remember. Baying for hart and chopra's blood. It was a horrible night....

    They struggled to get 10k home fans in which was their first season back at that level in about 56 years. Now for a town the size of Donny, and all the hype that pillock John Ryan was spouting it was pretty poor really. Still, it put to bed the ‘we’re a Sleeping Giant’ garbage that the deluded Pikeys were spouting over that time.

    Remember when he said they'd take 40k to Wembley, they sold 21k and a lot of that was to Leeds fans.

    There will come a time when this thread is labelled as utterly discriminatory.
    Why is it acceptable, even in this day and age, to consider that people who live a peripatetic existence should be made fun of?
    What is so humorous about travellers?
    My parents were of similar stock.

    How the heck do you know sold tickets to the Leeds fans I can remember when we Barnsley played Oxford at Wembley there were plenty fans who weren’t Barnsley fans some I was with had never been to oakwell before

    What I am trying to tell people is a fact Barnsley took roughly 26 thousand to Wembley so where is the 15 thousands Barnsley fans NOW???

    We took 35k v Cardiff 2008 and similar v Ipswich 2000 were are they? We sold out oakwell with season tickets in 1997/98 we're are they?
