    Made a great move could be a premiership player next season brentford still chasing automatic promotion. Was in the best defence in league one last season now in best defence in the championship this season....

    Well he did still have a year left and wasnt forcing his way out just didnt want to sign a new deal. Quality defender and no coincidence he was in the team with the best defence in league one last season and now at the team with the best in the championship.

    You seen the wages he's on at Brentford? Not a chance, the quicker our fan base realise the gulf in salary that we can offer compared to the rest of the league then maybe they'll get off the clubs back a bit. As soon as someone comes sniffing we've no chance, although what a **** pot club like Brentford are doing spending all these millions with no fan base or history whatsoever I've a sneaky feeling will come back to bite them, l hope so.

    He does and another player in the brentford squad who does ollie Watkins who they signed from Exeter has scored the same amount of goals as mitrovic who cost fulham 24 million

    We could’ve kept him for the last year of his contract. Missed out on 2-3 million, but saved the 7 million from being relegated! I think that’s what people were mad about - it’s short sighted.

    But he never forced a move like winnall it was more of a case of he wont extend he has a year left let's sell and replace the fee we got for him wasnt even that good imo....

    There was an offer on the table to more than quadruple his wages, a dream move for him - back home as well. He could have stayed with us, lost form, got injured and never had the opportunity again. He doesnt get his dream move, we get nothing for him. Until we can get the crowds and income to match the rest of the league we've no chance, let's hope this pandemic has killed a few clubs in this league.

    I agree with this. It was the fee which upset me. Could clearly see he was on the way to becoming Prem quality.

    We got more for Roberts and he didn’t have half the footballing class Pinnock had.

    I agree they need promotion but to be fair the sales of pinnock, watkins and baharma (or whatever he is called) if promotion fails will see them right.

    You can see quality he was a class above in league one I had no doubt he would have been good enough for the championship for better than any of the defenders we brought in that summer. The fee was as disappointing as the replacements. We sold for 2.5 or 3 million if he was still here I think we would be in alot better position and not in danger of losing 7 million with been relegated so false economy to sell.

    You could have asked him to stay until Jan. Let Brentford buy him on condition he's loaned back until Jan. Say you can go on a free in summer ( like we did with Davies)
