    Clear and obvious sending off.

A 3 match ban would have put him out until the final.

Kinell. Last tackle I saw like that was Carl Regan on his debut for us against Norwich City in 2000.
No two ways about it in my mind, that was a definite sending off, but these big name players seem to get away with it
    every time.

I remember a Portsmouth player getting sent off at Oakwell that year in a 6-0 win for a similar challenge. Also Kozluk went for a 2-footed lunge a few years ago when the usual red mist descended. I hope Pique can be sent off retrospectively and banned for 3 matches. Challenges like that are potential leg-breakers.

He can because he wasn’t given a yellow card. By FIFAs rules, if the referee had given a yellow card then they can’t change the decision.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get a ban on the back of it.
