I didn’t see the bomber but there was a Hurricane. Whatever it was it made my windows rattle!

I want to say Lancaster but could have been a Wellington.

I don’t think there is an airworthy Wellington? 2 engines or 4?

    They're great aren't they?

I live near Duxford and see many WW2 planes and especially Spitfires either on training flights or air displays. Plus of course the Red Arrows.

My ex wife still works at Duxford, and we often went to displays there.

4 props mean it was either the Lancaster or a B17?
Lanc has a twin tail and B17 has a single tail.

There is an air show at Southport tonight, not sure where they are based but could have been on the way

We saw them last weekend for armed forces day in Llandudno, red arrows, followed by the WW2 memorial flight then a typhoon... they make a noise!!
