    Looking at the various Clubs retained lists there would appear to be circa 1,068 players out of contract
    as the seasons end approaches.
    In the Championship there are 182, League 1 has 236, League 2 has 259 and there are 400 in the National League. Quite a number zoo those involved are able to move on free transfers.!

    Wow. 7 or 8 at each Championship club assuming we count the promoted and relegated sides.

    Virtually a full starting 11 in leagues 1 and 2.

    Just like a Christmas bran tub, we will be rummaging in that heap that's for certain. One man's trash is another mans treasure. With a bit of luck we will have already put sold stickers on one or two before it was known they were definitely in the bin.
